There are a number of major works of original art listed on this page that we offer for sale. Chief among these are such masterworks works by artists from around the world dating as early as the 18th century and into the 20th century. The first selection includes original graphic art, and drawings by the twentieth century American artists, such as Chaim Koppelman's two original aquatints, Death and the Butcher and On Meeting Beauty II, two original etchings, Napoleons on Alligators and Voyage as well as two of his original lithographs, Napoleon and Me, and Over Soho, an original drawing attributed to Henry Keller entitled, Pig Study, John Szilagyi's original linocut, Castle in the Air, an original engraving and etching by John William Jameson entitled, Library of Betsie Diamond, and two original linocuts by Kalman Kubinyi, Jack Diamond and Elizabeth Diamond (Jack and Queen of Diamonds), an original collagraph by the 20th century American artist, Loren G. Janzen and a selection of four original late 19th and early 20th century advertising cigar labels published by the American Lithographic Company, are also present.
In the second selection, nineteenth century British engraving is represented with a complete set of eight original wood engravings entitled, The Seasons created by Thomas Bewick and based upon a design by John Thurston, and an 18th century engraving by Thomas Burke, Sycamore Near Reading, Berkshire, an original soft ground etching by William Alfred Delamotte based upon a designed created by the British artist, by William Havell, Cymbeline. Act I, Scene II. (Cymbeline's palace in Britain. Imogen, Posthumus, Queen, Cymbeline, etc.). designed by William Hamilton. Also included within this British selection of art is an original 19th century etching by Frederick Christian Lewis entitled, Augusta Fane, Countess of Lonsdale, based upon a design created by the famous portrait painter, Sir Thomas Lawrence and an original 19th century hand-colored botanical etching by the British artist, J. Watts after m. Hart.
Twentieth century French art listed here is represented by Therese Ruffie de Longueval with her original aquatint engraving, Sarabande and a wood engraving by Valentin Le Campion entitled Ex-Libris Elizabeth Watson Diamond. 19th century French art is also listed here with an original signed etching by Stephen James Ferris, The Halberdier, based upon a design by Jean Meissonier, two original etchings by Karl Bodmer, Guard Dog (Bull Terrier) and Wild Boars, as well as two original etchings by Aglaus Bouvenne, Ex-Libris Charles Asselineau and Ex-Libris de Madame la Comtesse de Noe.
This next grouping contains artwork by Italian painters and printmakers. It includes three original lithographs, the first by Amerigo Tot entitled, Two Figures, the second lithograph is Marino Marini's Cavalier printed by Mourlot in Paris, and Sergio Agostini's lithograph entitled, The Peasant from the Vincent Price collection.
This final selection features various important works by painters and printmakers from other Countries not listed above, such as an original etching, engraving and aquatint depicting an interior scene with cats by the twentieth century Swiss / French, artist, Robert Wehrlin, an original woodcut, Konya'cho no Fuji (“Fuji of the Dyers' Quarter”) by the most influential Japanese master of landscapes and figure studies, Hokusai, an original etching by the Canadian artist, Leslie Victor Smith (Monogramme: L. V. S) entitled, Ex-Libris J. Edouard Diamond, a landscape painting, Palm Trees, Trinidad by the British / Canadian artist, Adelaide Webster-Donald, an original wood engraving, Ex-Libris Elizabeth Watson Diamond by the 20th century Australian artist, Adrian George Feint 'Adrian Feint', an original lithograph by the contemporary German printmaker and painter, Brigitta Heyduck entitled, Village in Yugoslavia, and Ex-Libris Pepita Palle by the Belgian artist, Mark Fernand Severin, and lastly, we present the complete portfolio of twenty-five original color lithographs by the Israeli artist, Abel Pann, entitled, The Bible - Genesis: From the Creation until the Deluge
