There are a number of major works of original art listed on this page that we offer for sale. Chief among these are such masterworks works by artists from around the world dating as early as the 17th century and into the 20th century. The first selection includes original graphic art by 19th & 20th and twentieth century American artists; beginning with an original drawing, and three graphic works of art by Sigmund Abeles entitled, B. G. Seated (Assistant at the Ahmherst Workshop), Female Figure Standing with Fist at Back, Max, 'Max's Laugh, Max-Gelding's Laugh, Gelding's Laugh' (My Horse, Max's Laugh), and Widowed Eve. They are followed by an original lithograph by Susan Headley van Campeny entitled, Lilies and Blue Bonnets, an original political lithograph entitled, Opposing Parties by the Chicago painter, lithographer and illustrator, Rudolph Pen. Next, there is an original advertising cigar labels, AAA Motorist, Chicago-Capital-City (Havana Cigars - Chicago AAA Capitol), Cigar Label for F. C. Lundquist Maker & Harry Erickson, Chicago, Illinois. Also included in this selection are several original 19th century wood engravings, historical periodicals published by Harper's Weekly, designed by the important American artist, Thomas Nast, entitled, All Quite on the Hudson. Mr. George B. McClellan in his Element Again - Running for Something (Subject: Political Campaigning), An Open Question Still - Uncle Sam, "You Don't Give Bread With--" (Subject: The 1877 Halifax Fisheries Commission Fishing Negotiations), Into the Jaws of Death - Temple of Janus (Subject: The Russo-Turkish War, 1877-1878), and Willie, We have Missed You (Subject: William M. Tweed, 'Boss Tweed' & the Tammany Ringdom in Prison). These four Thomas Nast engravings satirize, and directly confront the political corruption, coercion and reforms taking place in the United States of America, and other world events that were taking place during the last quarter of the 19th century.

In the second selection, nineteenth century French lithography is represented with a selection of original lithographs such as, Les Petits Fileurs (The Little Spinners) by Hyacinthe Louis Victor Jean Baptiste Aubry-Lecomte 'Hyacinthe Aubry-Lecomte' designed by Pierre Paul Prud'hon, Portes de Fer Les Soldats atteignent la second muraille (Gates of Iron The Soldiers Reach the Second Wall) by Adrien Dauzats, Le Singe au Miroir (The Monkey at the Mirror) by Eugene Leroux 'Eugene Le Roux' after Alexandre Gabriel Decamps, Gorges d'Apremont (Gorges of Apremont), by Hector Martin, and Jeune homme jouant de la basse (Young Man Playing the Cello). Included here is an original lithograph published by Le Charivari, Paris entitled, Cherchez-Vous un Laurier? Oui Un Laurier Sauce (Are You Searching for a Laurel? Yes, a Laurel Sauce.) attributed to Charles Philipon, an original etching by Albert Robida, Les Graveurs Du XIX Siecle par H. Beraldi (Engravers of the 19th Century), and an original etching entitled, Souvenir de Hollande (Remembrance of Holland) by Theodore Valerio from L'Artiste, Paris. 20th century French art is represented with a landscape by Rene Lorrain designed by Emile Gallois entitled, View of Menton.

Japanese art is represented with two original 19th century woodcuts from the One Hundred Pictures by Kyosai (Kyosai Hyakuzu) created by Kawanabe Kyosai entitled, Master Artists at Work, Japanese Legends of Oni (Demons Ogres & Goblins), Setsubun, Mame-maki, Oni wa Soto; Fuku wa Uchi (Bean-Throwing Spring Festival, Get Out Demons; Come in Good Fortune), and Tengu, Mischievous & Supernatural Crow like, Humanoid Yokai (Japanese Mythology, & Proverbs). Twentieth century Japanese art is represented with two original hand-stenciled dye prints; the first is by Takeshi Nishijima entitled, Calendar for January, 1975 (Wakasa Bay, near Kyoto) and the second, is by Keisuke Serizawa entitled, Calendar for January 1968 (Japanese Holidays & Festivals: Oshogatsu, Seijin No Hi, & Tondo Matsuri).

This next grouping contains artwork by 19th century British painters and printmakers, starting with two original lithographs published by Charles Tilt, London for Sketches at Home and Abroad; these include, Chateau de Finisso, Val d'Aoste 'Fenis Castle, Aosta Valley, Italy', and Como from the Milan Road by James Duffield Harding, four 19th century etchings from the 1862 portfolio, Passages from Modern English Poets Illustrated by the Junior Etching Club; they include, Hagar and Ishmael by Joseph Clark, The May Wreath by William Gale, The Last Gleam of Day by John Wright Oakes, and Study of a Head by Henry Clarence Whaite.

This final selection features an original wood engraving, botanical by the 20th century Canadian artist, Gerard Brender a Brandis, entitled, Maxillaria Juergensis (Orchid 'Orchidaceae', Maxillaria Juergensii, a Species in the Maxillaria genus). Also include are three 'Ex Libris' book plates, an original etching by the Czechoslovakian artist Vitezslav Fleissigan, Ex Libris Mansueto Fenini (Venustas Lux 'Beautiful Light'), a wood engraving entitled, Ex Libris Diamond (An Eagle, Wings Spread, Hovers over the Globe within a Diamond Cloud) by the Russian / French artist, Valentin Le Campion, and an original wood engraving by the Lithuanean / American artist, Ex Libris Stasys Pilka by Vytautas Osvaldas Virkau.
