Note: Edward W. Sharland 'Edward Sharland': An English architectural and landscape etcher, Edward W. Sharland was a full member of the Fine Art Trade Guild. His etchings were exhibited in Liverpool, Bristol and at the Royal West of England Academy and the Royal Academy, London. Specializing in both colour and black and white etchings, much of Edward Sharland's work was published in London by either Frost and Reed or Bell. This large and impressive etching was published in both London and New York by C. Klackner. Well traveled, Edward Sharland's etchings include scenes of cities in Italy, Spain, Belgium and Holland as well as views of London, Liverpool, Manchester and Bristol.
  The New York firm of C. Klackner (Christian Klackner), published original etchings by late 19th and early 20th century artists and designers. These included Winslow Homer, William Magrath, James S. King, Frederick Spiegle, John T. Bentley, Gustave Mercier, Leon Moran, Eugene Michel Joseph Abot and Edward W. Sharland.
