Paul Eliasberg's original color etching and aqautint, "Arches" is printed upon rag paper and with full, deckled margins as published by Rembrandt Verlag, Berlin in the limited edition of one hundred signed impressions. It is signed and numbered 1/100 by the Paul Eliasberg in pencil along the lower margin, and also bears the Rembrandt Verlag blindstamp in the lower left corner. "Arches" is an important original example of the architectural art created by the German artist, Paul Eliasberg.

Note: Paul Eliasberg: A German/French architectural and landscape etcher, Paul Eliasberg studied art in Berlin, in 1924 and 1925, and in Paris from 1926 to 1928. In the latter city he was a pupil of Bissiere at the Academie Ranson. Since 1930, Paul Eliasberg's art was exhibited at major expositions in both France and Germany. In 1947, in fact, the artist gained his French citizenship.
  Paul Eliasberg returned to Germany in 1966 to teach etching techniques at the Staedelschule, Frankfurt. He held that position for four years and then resided in Hamburg. Paul Eliasberg's art has long been held in high regard for his abstract examinations of architectural and landscape elements.
  Arches was published by Rembrandt Verlag, Berlin, around 1970 in a limited edition of 100 impressions. During the late 1960's and early 1970's this publisher commissioned original prints from some of the finest German, French Swiss and Austrian artists of the times, such as Paul Wunderlich, Mac Zimmermann, Rudolf Hausner, Peter Ackermann, Paul Eliasberg, Ernest Fuchs, Johannes Gachnang, Ursula Schultze-Bluhm and Bernard Schultze.

A deeply printed impression and in excellent condition throughout. Arches represents both a large and important original example of the architectural art of Paul Eliasberg.
