Note: WP Eberhard Eggers 'Wilheim Paul Eberhard Eggers': One of Germany's most famous contemporary artists, W. P. Eberhard Eggers has received a strong international reputation for his etchings, engravings, hand-made books and sculpture. In total over two hundred one man exhibitions of his art have taken place throughout Europe and America since he began exhibiting his work in the mid 1960's. Recent one man exhibitions have taken place at the Galerie Hohmann, Hamburg (1996), the Galerie Duden, Berlin (2000) and Kunstverein Bad Salzdefurth (2001). WP Eberhard Eggers has also been a visiting professor at the Universities of Hawaii and Wisconsin as well as an appointed professor of art at the Arizona State University (1986).
  WP Eberhard Eggers concentrated almost exclusively upon engraving and etching during the 1970's decade. His unique blend of surrealism and psychological imagery gained him many commissions in both Germany and the United States. In particular, the Associated American Artists of New York published some of his prints at this time. Bas Tal Des Tec may have been commissioned by this publisher.

Condition: Printed upon thick, laid paper and with full, deckled margins as published in 1970 in the limited edition of ninety impressions. Signed, dated and numbered, 'XXXI/XC', by the artist in pencil along the lower margin. A strong, rich impression and in excellent condition throughout. This original engraving represents a prime example of the art of WP Eberhard Eggers, one of Germany's leading masters.
