Agnes Story

Agnes Story - Pelicano Club

Pelicano Club

Agnes Story's original lithograph and collage, Pelicano Club must have been published in a very small edition. Besides the application of real sand to create the beach, Story has applied straw, corrugated cardboard and screens to construct the tree and building. Furthermore, extensive hand-coloring is evident throughout this large work of art. This is a fine, original example of the landscape art created by the American artist, Agnes Story.

This original artwork was published by Vermillion Editions, Minneapolis in 1984. It is signed, dated and annotated, "T.P." (Trial Proof) by Agnes Story in pencil to the middle right. Another impression of Pelicano Club is listed in the collection of the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, under the accession number, P.87.11.13.
