Linnea Pergola's "Broadway Summer," is an original silk-screen created by the artist in 1997. This landscape depicts New York's famous theatre district. Note: Linnea Pergola: A great contemporary American painter and printmaker, Linnea Pergola's unique art is now exhibited throughout Europe and the United States. Born in Los Angeles, she received her education from the California State University at Northridge. After graduation she worked for the Peace Corps and traveled to such far away destinations as the Philippines, Peru, Russia and Scandinavia.
  In both her paintings and large, original prints, Pergola has been recognized for her distinctive style. Familiar urban landmarks around the world become animated by bright colours and forms. Her gift is to mix all these intricate elements into a kaleidoscope of potent imagery. Like most of her work in this medium, this original silk-screen contains hot stamping in silver which creates a further layer of reflective lights.
  Recently, the art of Linnea Pergola has been featured in such galleries as the Ambassador Gallery, New York, the Fine Art Museum of Long Island, Martin Lawrence Gallery, Chicago, Roberts Gallery, Scottsdale, Arizona, Art One Gallery, Los Angeles, John Szoke Graphics, New York, and Gallerie I.D., Geneva Switzerland.
