Note:	Garrick Palmer: One of Britain's finest contemporary painters and printmakers, Garrick Palmer studied at the Portsmouth College of Art and Design (1951-55) and at the Royal Academy Schools, London (1955-59). He taught at the Winchester School of Art from 1958 to 1986 and became Head of the Foundation Department. Garrick Palmer's first exhibition of his paintings and prints took place in 1961. Since that time his art has been exhibited throughout England, Switzerland and elsewhere. Garrick Palmer was elected an Associate of the Royal Engravers in 1963 and an Academician in 1970.
	Some of Garrick Palmer's greatest works are his wood engravings commissioned by publishers of illustrated books such as the Folio Society and the Imprint Society. His finest illustrated books include, Tomlinson's, The Sea and the Jungle (1971), Melville's, Three Stories (1967), Benito Cereno (1972), Moby Dick (1974), Shakespeare's, Pericles: The Winter's Tale (1988) and Williams's, Land (1996).
	Landscape is one of Garrick Palmer's largest and most compelling works of original graphic art. The forms and shapes of landscapes have been a primary force of his work throughout the years and they are here examined with both brilliance and virtuosity.

Condition:	Printed upon thick, laid paper and with margins extending about one and one half inches from the image on all sides. Signed by the artist in pencil along the lower margin and numbered, '33/275'. Containing very faint matte burning in the outer margins, else a finely printed, full colour impression and in good condition throughout. Landscape represents a prime, original example of the famous British art of Garrick Palmer.
