Jean Charles Millet's original etching, "The Gatherers" is printed upon hand-made, laid paper with the 'Arches' watermark and with wide margins on all sides. It is signed by the artist in the plate to the lower left and signed in pencil along the lower margin. It also bears the "Atelier J. F. Millet" blindstamp under the signature. "The Gatherers" is a fine, original example of the landscape art created by the French artist, Jean Charles Millet.

Note: Jean Charles Millet: The grandson of one of the most influential artists of the nineteenth century (Jean Francois Millet, 1814-1875), Jean Charles Millet lived and worked in the Barbizon area of France for most of his life. A skilled painter, watercolorist and etcher, the younger Millet produced landscapes, architectural views and figure studies in the style of his famous grandfather.
  The Gatherers is one of Jean Charles Millet's largest and most impressive original etchings. Under his signature is the official circular blindstamp, "Atelier J. F. Millet, Barbizon".
Size: 9 1/2 X 7 1/8 (Sizes in inches are approximate, height preceding width of plate-mark or image.)
  Matted with 100% Archival Materials
Condition: Printed upon hand-made, laid paper with the 'Arches' watermark and with wide margins on all sides. Containing very slight creasing and chipping in the upper right corner, else a finely printed impression with full burr and in good condition throughout. Signed by the artist in the plate to the lower left and signed in pencil along the lower margin. Also bearing the "Atelier J. F. Millet" blindstamp under the signature. The Gatherers is a prime, original example of the etched art of Jean Charles Millet.
