Haim Mendelson

Haim Mendelson - Jan with a Small Toy

Jan with a Small Toy

Haim Mendelson's original drypoing engraving, "Jan with a Small Toy" is an artist proof impression printed upon hand-made, laid paper with the ‘Arches’ watermark and with full, deckled margins. It is pencil signed, titled and annotated, ‘A/P’, by him under the plate-mark, and dated ‘4/23/69, 9:30 AM’ along the lower edge of the paper. Using only the essential lines, the artist brilliantly captures the expression and wonder of a young child. "Jan with a Small Toy" is a fine, original example of the engraved art created by the American artist, Haim Mendelson.
