Note:	Arthur Litt: A leading French fabric and tapestry designer, Arthur Litt opened his Atelier in Paris in the late 1920's and was a major contributor in these arts until the Second World War. The most striking element of Arthur Litt's oeuvre is the almost pure abstraction of his designs. Such is surely the case with "Abstract Fabric Design", where circles of red, blue, green and white are painted in conjoined patterns against a deep, black background.
	"Abstract Fabric Design" bears the stamp of Arthur Litt's Atelier on the verso (as shown). Almost all his design work for textiles and fabrics was executed in the medium of gouache.

Condition:	Painted upon thick smooth paper and with full margins as created in Paris around 1930. Bearing Arthur Litt's seal on the verso. Several minor crease marks are evident in the upper left corner, else in very good condition throughout retaining all its vibrant coloration. Abstract Fabric Design represents a superb, original example of the art of Arthur Litt and his studio.
