Darryl Hughto

Combine (Abstract Composition)

Darryl Hughto’s original silkscreen (serigraph), "Combine", (Abstract Composition) was printed in New York in 1981 by Larry B. Wright Productions. During the early 1980’s, Larry Wright published original prints by such artists as Larry Poons, Larry Zox, Romare Beardon, Dan Christensen, Michael Goldberg, Art Spiegelman, Keith Sonnier and Darryl Hughto. Formerly, Wright was an assistant to Robert Rauschenberg.

Darryl Hughto’s career may be roughly divided into two sections. His early work is purely abstract. His paintings and prints after 1986, however, depict landscapes, still lifes and figures studies and incorporate representational elements with characteristics of the Color Field School.
