The Pond

Art Hansen's original etching, "The Pond", is printed upon fine archival paper and with full, deckled margins as published by by the "Associated American Artists" of New Yorkin a sole limited edition of two hundred and fifty impressions in 1975. This impression is signed, dated, numbered and titled by Art Hansen in pencil along the lower margin. "The Pond" is a fine, original example of the etched landscape art of Art Hansen.

Note:	Art Hansen: A contemporary American painter, etcher and lithographer Art Hansen had his first one man exhibition at the Seattle Art Museum in 1952. The same year he received a Pulitzer Prize for his art and the following year he was awarded a Fullbright Fellowship which enabled him to complete his education at the Academy in Munich, Germany.
	Art Hansen has exhibited his art extensively since 1960 and has developed a strong reputation for both his still life compositions and his landscapes. In the latter category his subjects are often drawn from the area of Vashon Island, his home in the Pacific North-West. Such is the case with this original etching entitled, The Pond.
	During the 1970's and early 1980's the Associated American Artists of New York commissioned major American and International artists for original graphic art. Most of their published works were printed in limited, signed editions of 250. The Pond was commissioned by this publisher. In total Art Hansen contributed at least three original etchings to the Associated American Artists during this decade.

A strongly printed impression and in excellent condition throughout. Signed, titled, dated and numbered, '211/250' by the artist in pencil along the lower margin. The Pond represents a prime, original example of the etched art of Art Hansen.
