Ferdinand Erwin Grosshardt's original lithograph, Harbour Scene (Untitled Landscape) was created by the Swiss artist around 1950. This impression is printed on hand-made, laid paper and with full, deckled margins and Bears the blindstamp of the publisher, 'International Graphic Arts Society, Inc' in the lower right margin. It is pencil signed by Ferdinand Grosshardt and numbered, '46/200', to the lower left. This harbour scene is a fine, original example of the lithographic art created by the20th century Swiss artist, Ferdinand Grosshardt.

Note: Ferdinand Erwin Grosshardt 'Ferdinand Grosshardt': A twentieth century Swiss artist, Ferdinand Grosshardt was known for his paintings, original prints and illustrations for the book arts. Ferdinand Grosshardt's art contained strong elements of both Expressionism and Abstraction and he was a regular exhibitor in both Switzerland and Germany. Today the fine art of Ferdinand Erwin Grosshardt can be seen at such institutions as the Cabaret Cornichon, Zurich, and the Marionettenttheater, Ascona.
  In this original lithograph Ferdinand Erwin Grosshardt depicts fishermen returning to their harbour in the evening. Contrasting black and grey with shimmering tones of green and pink, the entire image examines the effects of light vanishing into the night.

Condition: Printed on hand-made, laid paper and with full, deckled margins as published in Switzerland around the above date. Bearing the blindstamp of the publisher in the lower right margin and the ‘Made in Switzerland’ stamp on the verso. Signed by Ferdinand Grosshardt, to the lower right, and numbered, '46/200', to the lower left. Containing tape staining in the upper corners as well as mat burn about one half of an inch from the actual lithograph on all sides, else a strongly printed impression and in fair condition throughout. Title Unknown (Harbour Scene) represents a fine, original example of the twentieth century Swiss art of Ferdinand Grosshardt.
