Inept Boatman

Kevin Fletcher's original aquatint & etching, "Inept Boatman" was created by the California artist in 1984. It was published in a small edition of twenty-five numbered impressions. During this time the artist concentrated upon river views and bridge views in both aquatint and monotype. This impression is printed upon fine, archival paper and with full, deckled margins as published at the date stated. It is titled, signed, dated and numbered in pencil by Kevin Fletcher within the image along the lower margin. "Inept Boatman" is a fine, original example of the graphic art created by the contemporary American artist, Kevin Fletcher.

Note: Kevin Fletcher: A leading printmaker and painter, Kevin Fletcher is today highly regarded for his fine work in the medium of the monotype. The artist received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio (1978) and his Master of Fine Arts in etching and lithography from Syracuse University (1981). Kevin Fletcher's first solo exhibition took place at the University of Wisconsin in 1981. Since that time his prints have been included in major exhibitions in Prague, Milan, Antwerp, San Francisco, San Diego, Chicago and Boston. Today the art of Kevin Fletcher is included in the permanent collections of such institutions as the Royal Museum of Fine Arts, Antwerp, Belgium, the University of Wurzburg, Germany, University of Wisconsin, Syracuse University, University of Rochester, Portland Art Museum and the Cincinnati Art Museum.
