Michael Fairclough's "Stockholm Island II, Cloud " is an original aquatint printed upon pure rag paper and with full, deckled margins as published in an edition of one hundred impressions around 1985. This impression is signed and numbered by the artist in pencil along the lower margin. It is a fine, original example of the landscape art by the British artist, Michael Fairclough.

Note: Michael Fairclough: A contemporary British painter and printmaker, Michael Fairclough studied art techniques at the Kingston School of Art (1957 to 1961). From 1962 to 1964 he taught at the Belfast School of Art. In 1964 he was awarded the Rome Scholar in Engraving and thus spent the following two years working and living in Italy. In the following year, Michael Fairclough went to Paris to study engraving techniques under S. W. Hayter at Atelier 17. He then joined the faculty at the West Surrey College of Art and Design and taught there from 1967 to 1979.
  Michael Fairclough was elected Associate of the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers in 1964 and Fellow in 1973. He is also a Fellow of the Printmakers' Council (1981) and a Member of the New English Art Club (1995). Today the art of Michael Fairclough is included in such collections as the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, the South London Art Gallery, the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, Greenwich Art Gallery, New York Public Library, National Library of Wales, Aberystwyth, Museums Boymans van Beunegen, Rotterdam, the European Parliament and the European Science Foundation.
  In total, Michael Fairclough created two aquatints dealing with the subject of Stockholm Island. Their titles are, "Stockholm Island I, Sun" and "Stockholm Island II, Cloud".
