Hedwig Brecher Eibuschitz's original drypoint engraving, "Technik in Wein" is a large and impressive architectural study of the present day Vienna University of Technology created by the Austrian artist around 1925. The university was founded in 1815 as the 'Polytechnisches Institut' and was the first school in the German speaking world to specialize in technical studies. This original Hedwig Eibuschitz drypoint provides a view of the main old building close to the Karlskirche.

Note: Hedwig Brecher Eibuschitz 'Hedwig Eibuschitz': An early twentieth century Austrian painter and etcher, Hedwig Brecher Eibuschitz studied art in Vienna. During her career the artist exhibited her work in major cities in both Germany and Austria. Many of Hedwig Eibuschitz's etchings and drypoint engravings depict views of major Vienna buildings. "Technik in Wein" (Vienna University of Technology) is one of Hedwig Eibuschitz's largest works of graphic art.
Size: 18 3/4 X 11 3/4 (Sizes in inches are approximate, height preceding width of plate-mark or image.)
  Matted with 100% Archival Materials
Condition: Printed upon wove paper and with full margins as published in Vienna around 1925. Containing matt burning in the outer margins else a fine printing bearing the full burr of an early impression. Signed and titled by the artist under the plate-mark. "Technik in Wein" (Vienna University of Technology) represents a fine, original example of the architectural art of Hedwig Brecher Eibuschitz.
