John Dorish

John Dorish - Easel in the Park

Easel in the Park

John Dorish’s original etching and aquatint, "Easel in the Park", contains extensive hand-coloring by the artist on the portrayed canvas within the image. The juxtaposition of the square of color to the monochrome of the skyscrapers and the rest of Central Park makes the easel seem like a portal to another world. Most of John Dorish’s original prints and paintings depict scenes in and around Manhattan.

This original work of art is printed upon hand-made, pure rag paper and with full, deckled margins as created by the artist in 1992. It is signed, titled, dated and numbered by the artist in pencil along the lower margin. "Easel in the Park" is a fine, original example of the landscape art created by the American artist, John Dorish.
