Bruce Dorfman

Bruce Dorfman - Black Hat

Black Hat

Bruce Dorfman's original lithograph "Black Hat" was created in 1972. In his art, Dorfman often explores the relationships among colour, form and line. This is clearly seen in this fine work of art, where the artist has created a large cameo-like frame of four bright colour fields. These colours both individually and collectively work upon our way of viewing the finely rendered portrayal of the woman.

"Black Hat" is printed upon hand-made, laid paper with the 'BFK Rives' watermark and with full, deckled margins as published in New York by Kennedy Galleries in an edition of one hundred impressions. it is signed and numbered, by the artist in pencil along the lower margin. This is a major, original example of the contemporary art created by the American artist, Bruce Dorfman.
