Note: Robert J. Cariola 'Robert Cariola': A contemporary American painter, sculptor and etcher, Robert Cariola studied art at the Pratt Institute, New York, graduating in 1954. For a number of years the artist taught at Nassau County Fine Arts Museum. He currently teaches painting techniques at the National Art League, Douglaston, New York.
  During his career Robert Cariola has twice been awarded Tiffany Grants. Today his etchings and paintings are included in the permanent collections of such institutions as the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, Buffalo, NY., Hofstra University, Fordham University, LaSalle College and DePauw University, as well as in many private collections including that of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.
  The majority of Robert Cariola's etchings date from 1960 to 1970. Like his fine paintings, Robert Cariola's etchings strive to explore the meaning of form and matter and their relationship to the human spirit. Such is the case with this masterful etching entitled, "No Trespassing", which depicts a scarecrow in in the middle of a vast field surrounded by crows. It is a fine, original example of the etched landscape art of Robert Cariola.
Edition: Most of Robert Cariola's etchings were published in editions of 50 to 100 impressions.
