Robert Brook's original hand-coloured lithograph, "Chatham Light, Cape Cod" was created by the artist around 1960. Note: Robert Brooks: A twentieth century American painter, printmaker and illustrator, Robert Brooks was raised in New Bedford and studied art techniques at the Swain School of Design and at the Vesper George School of Art, Boston. In 1941 Brooks was the recipient of a scholarship from the Massachusetts Women's Club. Shortly thereafter Robert Brooks established a long running studio in the Cape Cod community of Hyannis and dedicated the majority of his paintings and watercolours to the many points of interest within the area.
  Robert Brooks was a full member of the Copley Society and the Cape Cod Art Association. He also served as an instructor of art at the Cape Cod Community College.
  The lighthouse at Chatham, Massachusetts was constructed in 1808. It overlooks some of the most hazardous waters along the Cape Cod coast.
