Filippo Morghen - Pianta del Cratere Surrounding Naples

Pianta del Cratere Surrounding Naples

Filippo Morghen's Pianta del Cratere Surrounding Naples hails from the Views of Ruins in the Environs of Naples, published in 1766 which consisted of forty large plates. This original engraving details not only the craters and lakes in the Naples area, but a large number of ancient structures. This beautifully detailed map is a strong example of the original eighteenth century Italian art by Filippo Morghen.
