Note: An original engraving created in 1801, Bataille de Hohenlinden, Livree le 12 Frimaire, an 9 (3 Decembre 1800) was engraved by Edme Bovinet based upon a design by the French artist Francois Louis Couche.
  Hohenlinden is a small village in Barvaria twenty miles east of Munich. On December 3, 1800, During the French Revolutionary Wars, the French forces under the command of General Moreau defeated the Austrians led by the Archduke John.
Size: 10 3/4 X 15 1/4 (Sizes in inches are approximate, height preceding width of plate-mark or image.)
  Matted with 100% Archival Materials
Condition: Printed on thick wove paper and with full margins as published in Paris in 1801. Slight foxing and surface tears exist in the margins, most notably in the word 'Bataille', however, none intrude upon the image. It is in excellent condition throughout and a fine early example of the engraved art created by the French artist, Edme Bovinet and Napoleonic art.
