Bela Kron's original etching, "Firenze, Or San Michele", bears the date of 1925. The Structure depicts the church of Or San Michele located on the Via Calzaiuoli in Florence, Italy. The exterior walls are adorned with statues of the patron saints of some of the Florentine guilds. This original impression is printed upon wove paper with the 'Umbria Italia' watermark and with full margins as created by the Hungarian artist, Bela Kron at the date stated. It is signed, dated and titled within the plate and also pencil signed by Kron under the plate mark. "Firenze, Or San Michele" is a fine, original example of the landscape art created by the Hungarian artist, Bela Kron.

Note: Bela Kron: An early twentieth century Hungarian painter and etcher, Bela Kron studied art techniques at the Budapest Academy. During the First World War (1914-1918) Bela Kron served with the military in Macedonia. After the end of the war, Bela Kron spent a great deal of time in Italy. Views of Florence, Venice and Rome are known to have been created by his hand during the 1920's.
  Bela Kron's "Firenze, Or San Michele", depicts the church of Or San Michele located on the Via Calzaiuoli in Florence, Italy. The structure was originally said to be a corn market but was remodeled between 1380 and 1404. The exterior walls are adorned with statues of the patron saints of some of the Florentine guilds and were sculpted by such old masters as Verrocchio, Donatello and Ghiberti.
Size: 8 3/4 X 6 1/2 (Sizes in inches are approximate, height preceding width of plate-mark or image.)
  Matted with 100% Archival Materials
Condition: Printed upon wove paper with the ‘Umbria Italia’ watermark and with large, full margins as created by the artist in 1925. Bearing very slight water staining in the left margin, removed from the actual etching, else a strongly printed impression and in good condition throughout. Signed, dated and titled within the plate (lower left corner) and pencil signed by the artist under the plate mark. Altogether "Firenze, Or San Michele" represents a fine, original example of the art by the Hungarian artist, Bela Kron.
