Note: Andre Krafft: A French twentieth century painter Andre Krafft studied art techniques in Paris. He began exhibiting his art there in the 1930's. At the end of the Second World War (1945), Andre Krafft concentrated almost exclusively on scenes of Paris and its environs, in both oil and watercolor.
  The drawings and paintings of Andre Krafft depict both popular Paris landmarks and some less familiar views. His Paris views demonstrate a fine sense of coloration combined with his unique, stylized representations of figure and form.
  In "Paris Cafe Scene", Andre Krafft captures the atmosphere surrounding the area and its inhabitants on a sunny Spring day.

Condition: Drawn upon thick, wove paper and containing its full margins. Signed "A Krafft" by the artist to the lower left. Matt burning, from a previous framing effort, is apparent in the outer edges. Else in very good condition throughout with no fading or discoloration. "Paris Cafe Scene" represents a fine, original example of the Paris art of Andre Krafft.
