Note:	Peter Holbrook: A leading American landscape artist, Peter Holbrook studied at Dartmouth College (BA, 1961), and at the Brooklyn Museum School of Art (1962-63). He began exhibiting his art in 1965 and since that time his paintings and original prints have been included in major exhibitions throughout the United States. Holbrook has taught art techniques at the University of Illinois (1968-70), California State University (1970-71) and the Center for the Arts and Humanities, Sun Valley, Idaho (1988).
	Throughout most of his career, Peter Holbrook has concentrated upon scenes of California and the American Southwest. A very large and intricate silkscreen, "Surf Point" was published in 1982 in a signed, limited edition of one hundred and fifty impressions. Today the art of Peter Holbrook is included in the permanent collections the National Collection of Fine Arts (Smithsonian Institute), Washington, D.C., the Achenbach Collection, Palace of the Legion of Honor, San Francisco, Indiana State University, Brooklyn Museum, Tucson Museum of Art, University of Nebraska, Springfield Art Museum, Oakland Museum of Art and the Art Institute of Chicago.

Containing one small fold mark in the lower left corner of the margins (well removed from the actual image) else a finely printed impression and in very good condition throughout. "Surf Point" represents a beautiful, original example of the fine landscape art of Peter Holbrook.
