Nancy Gray's original silkscreen, "Broadway Express" is printed on thick rag paper and with full margins as published by the Associated American Artists of New York in an edition of two hundred and fifty impression in New York in 1975. This impression is signed, titled and numbered in pencil by the artist along the lower margin. It depicts an aerial view of the Broadway Express during its busy traffic hours. This is a fine, original example of the New York art created by the American artist, Nancy Gray. Note: The Brooklyn Museum of Art, New York lists an impression of Nancy Gray's original silkscreen "Broadway Express" in their collection.

Note: Nancy Gray: An American painter and printmaker, Nancy Gray has made New York City the primary focus of her fine art. During the early 1970's she produced a number of works depicting New York locations in the silkscreen medium. These include works with such titles as "Wonder Wheel", "The El on Myrtle Avenue", "Brooklyn Bridge II" and "Tenements". Most, including this original example entitled, "Broadway Express", examine form and space by building bold areas of black and white.
  Today the screenprint art of Nancy Gray is housed in the permanent collections of a number of institutions, including the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, the Smithsonian American Art Museum, Wake Forest University and other important private and public institution. The Brooklyn Museum of Art, New York lists an impression of Nancy Gray's original silkscreen "Broadway Express" in their permanent collection. Accession Number, 79.114.4.
  Nancy Gray's original silkscreen, "Broadway Express" was commissioned by the Associated American Artists. Founded in New York in the mid 1930's, the Associated American Artists commissioned etchings, woodcuts and lithographs from such prominent American masters as Grant Wood, Thomas Hart Benton, Reginald Marsh, Marion Greenwood and many others.
