Note: Francesca Genna: A contemporary Italian painter and printmaker, Francesca Genna studied art at the Accademia di Belle Arti, Florence, and printmaking techniques at the International School of Etching (Il Bisonte). She began exhibiting her art in Italy around 1985. during the 1990's her etchings were included in major exhibitions in Germany, Switzerland, France, Italy and the United States. Francesca Genna is now considered one of Italy's finest original etchers of the twenty-first century.
  "Tree Study, Tuscany" is a fine example of Francesca Genna's modern printmaking techniques. Using both aquatint and drypoint engraving this large and impressive work of art explores tone, texture and light and shade. Francesca Genna's ability to capture this wonderfully gnarled form is a strong testament to her talents as an intaglio printmaker.
