Note: Marjorie Stuart Garfield 'Marjorie Garfield': A twentieth century Massachusetts painter, etcher and watercolorist, Marjorie Stuart Garfield studied art at Syracuse University under Henry B. Snell, Albert R. Thayer and George Pearse Ennis. During her career she received awards and prizes from the Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club (1930), League of American Pen Women (1936 and 1946) and the Artists Association of Syracuse (1936 and 1937).
  Marjorie Garfield's paintings and etchings were exhibited at such institutions as the Chicago Art Institute and the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. She was a full member of The Rockport Art Association, the American Watercolor Society, Washington DC Watercolor Club and the National Association of Women Artists. Her fine art is today included in the permanent collections of the Art Institute of Chicago, Syracuse Museum of Fine Arts, Dwight Art Gallery (Mt. Holyoke) and the University of Manitoba, Canada.

Condition: Printed upon fine, watermarked laid paper and with full, deckled margins as published around the above date. Containing very faint matt burning in the outer margins else a strongly printed impression and in good condition throughout. Signed by the artist in pencil along the lower right margin. Harbor View, Rockport represents a prime, original example of the etched art of Marjorie Stuart Garfield 'Marjorie Garfield'.
