Howard Bradford

Howard Bradford - Riverside

Riverside

Howard Bradford's original silkscreen, "Riverside", is a partly abstract depiction of the California city of that name. The city of Riverside is located fifty miles east of Los Angeles and is surrounded by the mountains and deserts of Southern California. In all probability the cluster of buildings and the tower seen to the left background represent the University of California at Riverside. The tall tower would be the dominant landmark of the university, the Carillon Bell Tower. This academic institution was designated a full university in 1959.

This original silkscreen entitled, "Riverside" was created by Howard Bradford in 1978 and published in a limited edition of seventy-five signed impressions. It is signed, titled and numbered, by the artist in pencil along the lower margin.
